We have general membership meetings on the first Tuesday of the month from September thru May.
The public is welcome, all our members come from the entire metro area.

Snowmobile Safety School Scheduled
A Snowmobile Safety School sponsored and operated by the Sled Bugs, will be held on three Thursday nights: November 1st, 8th and 15th, 2007. Pre-registration is required.
This course will be taught by club Snowmobile Safety Instructors Scott Landon, Laurie and Dwight Parkinson, Dave Rowley and Junior Instructor Monica Rowley.

Trail Setup Nov. 3rd, 2007
Our Trail Master, Kevin Sonneman, has selected Saturday, Nov. 3rd for trail setup, with a rain date of Nov. 10th. Find your screwguns, hammers, boots! Those with an ATV or chainsaw may find that helpful also, call Kevin.
Check with your section leader or be at the Condon Farm at 8:30 A.M.

This is held at the 200,000 square foot Wisconsin Exposition Center in State Fair Park. There is also a swap meet (contact John Roberts at 414 299-0330) going on Saturday and Sunday.
The AWSC (Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs), and the WCSA (Waukesha County Snowmobile Association), will have booths at the show, as well as many snowmobile dealers & manufacturers, product vendors, and snowmobiling destinations.
Members of the Sled Bugs are scheduled to be in the WCSA booth giving information about our club, and inviting people to come and meet us at the Open House. We have booth duty for two hours. V.P. Karen Jeras is the contact for helping to staff the booth.

Sussex Lions Daze July 13-15, 2007
Each year the the members of our snowmobile club operate a Munchies Booth at Sussex Lions Daze. It is our only fund raiser.
IT IS EXTREMELY important that all available members sign up on the work schedule. This signup sheet will be sent out with the May Newsletter, and We need it turned in at the May meeting, or mailed in.

If any of your family, friends or neighbors could help out working at the counter, serving or preparing food, please talk to them and sign them up as well. Anyone needing free T-shirts to wear at the event should mark that on the signup sheet.

Friday 5:30pm - 12 midnight
Saturday noon - 12 midnight
Sunday noon - 7pm

We need everybody to pitch in and help. Be sure and get the word out to all your family members and if you have some friends or neighbors that might be interested, their help would also be greatly appreciated. The time you spend working on this event will be counted towards your annual club work requirement.
John Varga is in charge of the club float which will be in the parade Saturday evening. If you are available to help build or staff that, get in touch with John.

The general chairperson for the event this year is our president Dave Rowley. The actual operations are run by Shift Leaders, Cleanup Leaders, Setup Leaders.

Bowling Party Saturday May 5th, 2007 at 6:30 pm
Its time to have a bowling party! So the event is on at the Sussex Bowl in Sussex. We had a signup sheet passed around at the March General meeting, and a number of people put their name down. Here are the details:
Each person who chooses to bowl will pay $9 per person bowling. This will include 3 games and shoe rental. The club will pay for free pizza and soda for club family members. Non-club members are welcome to attend, if they want pizza and soda, it will cost them $5 per person.
Please RSVP at the May 1st club meeting, or call Dave Rowley at 414 379-2362. It will be fun!.

The annual General Meeting and Election was held at 7:30 pm. Officers and some of the directors were up for election. The following members were elected.

Special thanks and appreciation go out to retiring President Delores Scharmer. She served as our chief executive officer for many years, and continues to serve on the board. She has provided great volunteer service to the club.
At the April board meeting, the board made two appointments to unoccupied 1 year terms on the board of directors by unanimous vote:
